Core strength is the development of the torso muscles that stabilize, align, and move the trunk of the body. Building strong core strength is like building a strong foundation for your child. Poor core strength can cause poor posture which can also affect gross motor and fine motor skills.
Core4Kids is an extension of Pilates based exercises, ages 6+ which is a total body system, conditioning both body and mind to maximise the precision of muscle control, strength and flexibility in a balanced sequence. It strives for quality of movement rather than quantity and helps the child create body awareness, stamina and coordination.
Every muscle group in the body is worked, with specific attention given to the muscles responsible for stabilising the joints. This in turn produces the correct body dynamics, along with a healthy, even flow of energy throughout the entire body. Children are taught to understand the importance of breathing whilst executing the exercises.

Our individual classes are done at our offices at Melkbos Cycles. Group classes will be done at Active Life Gym.
We work on referrals from Occupational and Physio therapists.
